How to Wrap a Wine Bottle for Thanksgiving (Step by Step Instructions)
People are always intimidated when they want to wrap a wine bottle and tend to opt for the paper or cellophane wine bag. It is actually easy and fun to wrap a wine bottle because of its interesting shape. You can use pieces of things you already have to add character and style to your wine bottle.
With the holidays quickly approaching, a bottle of wine makes a great hostess gift for the Thanksgiving holiday especially when it is decoratively wrapped. The mixture of fabric, beads and nature elements enhance the bottle design and would look beautiful on any dinner or buffet table. I used pieces of things I already had to create this design.

Decorated Wine Sleeve
This type of wine wrap makes a great accent for a holiday table. The wine can be opened and poured while still wearing its decorative sleeve or it can be slid off and saved.
Materials
- Warm earth toned scrapbooking paper
- Oatmeal colored burlap
- Burgundy bamboo twine
- Fabric leaves (1 large and 4 small)
- Amber bead strips cut from a holiday pick
- 2 large amber beads
- Frayed Corn husks
- Floral wire
- Craft Glue or glue gun
Wine Bottle Wrap
A wine bottle can be beautifully wrapped with tissue and natural elements in the theme of the season. This wine bottle wrap can be slid off and reused.
Materials
- Burgundy and orange tissue paper
- Oatmeal colored burlap
- Burgundy bamboo twine
- 3 fabric leaves
- Amber bead strips cut from a holiday pick
- Frayed Corn husks
- Floral wire
- 1 small rubber band (to secure the tissue at the neck of the bottle)
- Craft Glue or glue gun
