DIY Mardi Gras Decorations and Centerpieces (Video)
Mardi Gras decorations are some of favorite projects to make. I love all of the colors, art and fantasy of the Mardi Gras celebrations. Although I have never been to New Orleans for Mardi Gras, I have done several TV segments and parties with this theme. I even had authentic King Cakes shipped from New Orleans. The meteorologist from one of the stations where I do segments, who was born and raised in New Orleans, told me that my decorations and crafts were perfect and made her homesick.

Mardi Gras is March 1st this year so I though it would be a good time to get started on some festive decorations and crafts. Here are some of my ideas on how to create a fun and festive celebration using inexpensive items and things you may already have around your house. I hope you like my decorations!
