Beach crafts are so much fun to make from inexpensive items. Beach-themed crafts add a summery beach decor to any room. These easy-to-make wine glass lamps are so pretty and look like they were purchased from a boutique. The wine glass is painted with sea glass paint to soften the natural frosted look.

They are illuminated with flameless tea lights. These battery-operated tea lights can be found at the dollar store, craft stores, or online. They are great because you can place them inside the wine glass and they will give a soft glow and you don’t have to worry about an open flame near the paper lampshade.
Wine glass lamps are very elegant and are so easy to customize for any theme or occasion like these DIY Safari Animal Baby Lamps I made for my TV segment on NBC affiliate WBAL on how to throw baby shower on a budget. I love these because not only are they beautiful and elegant, you can add your creativity and design style to make them your own.
One of the things I love about these beach craft ideas is that you can find shells, sea glass, or other natural elements from your trip to the beach and incorporate them into the wine glass lamp design. This way you can have a keepsake from your vacation displayed into your beautiful beach crafts. This is also a great way to get the kids involved in fun special pieces to use to create this wine glass lamp.
This DIY beach craft idea is so inexpensive to make. You can use mismatched glasses or pick them up at the dollar store. The paint and the wooden base are easy to find at the craft store and the pretty paper used for the lampshade is scrapbooking paper that is also less than $1 a sheet. Each of the lanterns cost less than $5 to make.
