DIY Mardi Gras Masks (How to Make a Carnival Mask)
Making beautiful Venetian Carnival DIY Mardi Gras Masks are very easy. With just a few inexpensive items from the craft store, a plain plastic mask can be transformed into elaborate Mardi Gras masks and beautiful works of art. They can be accented with metallic paint, ribbon, gold accents, rhinestones, and feathers.

- Gold Dimensional Paint
- Gold Trim

Instructions for the DIY Mardi Gras Masks
- Draw the areas to paint on the face and lips with a pencil on the plastic mask.
- Paint the mask with metallic acrylic paint.
- Use gold dimensional paint to outline the painted areas and draw scrollwork on the mask.
- Draw the areas to paint on the mask with a pencil.
- Paint with acrylic paint.
- Use gold dimensional paint to outline the eyes, add dots above the eyes and draw scrollwork on the mask.
- Glue feathers to one side of the mask with a hot glue gun.
- Add rhinestones to accent the grid on the face.
- Glue gold trim around half of the face and the one eye.
- Draw the areas to paint on the mask a with a pencil.
- Paint with acrylic paint.
- Use gold dimensional paint to outline the eyes and draw scrollwork on the mask.
- Add dots above the eyes and accents with pink dimensional paint.
- Glue gold trim around the mask.
- Attach fur to the mask with a hot glue gun.
