This white picket fence planter is perfect to add spring floral decor to any room. This exact design shown cost less than $5 to make. This DIY Picket fence planter would also make a great Easter basket gift that can also be used as a Spring centerpiece decoration.
This cheap spring table decoration idea DIY is so easy to make with a repurposed tissue box and craft foam board. Artificial flowers are added to complete the beautiful spring floral design. The foam board and flowers are both from Dollar Tree.

Here’s how to make a DIY Picket Fence Planter
Materials
- Empty Long Tissue Box
- White Foam Board (Dollar Tree)
- White Acrylic Craft Paint
- Foam Brushes
- X-Acto Blade or Craft Knife
- Hot Glue Gun
- Floral Foam (Dollar Tree)
- Artificial Flowers (Dollar Tree)

How to Make Cheap and Easy DIY Spring Centerpiece Idea
Step 1: Remove the plastic from the tissue box opening and draw lines 1/2″ from the edge of the box around all sides.
Step 2: Cut the new opening of the box with scissors and paint it white with acrylic paint. Multiple coats may be needed to cover the pattern on the tissue box.
Step 3: Draw 1″ wide strips on the foam board. Cut 16 4-1/2″ long strips of foam board with an x-acto or craft knife. Cut points on each of the strips 1/2″ from the top edge to make the pickets. Cut 4 9″ strips 4 5″ strips of foam board for the horizontal rails.
Step 4: Glue the 9″ long strips to the front of the tissue box with a hot glue and the 5″ strips to the sides to make the rails.
Step 5: Glue the pointed piece of foam board to tissue box on top of the horizontal foam board rails. There should be 5 pickets on the longer edge of the box.
Step 6: Glue 3 of the pointed pickets of foam board to shorter edge of the box.
Step 7: Glue floral foam to the inside of the box and insert artificial flowers to complete your floral DIY Spring Centerpiece.
