I love summertime grilling and entertaining so I created this Faux Charcoal Grill to enjoy the summer theme regardless of the weather outside. I like serving food that is delicious with a fun presentation so it adds life to my party. This is why I created these brownie burgers that are displayed on a faux, charcoal grill.
This faux grill is a perfect decoration for any barbecue and it also servers a dual purpose as a dessert tray. Most of the items I used to create this grill you may already have around your house. This will be a great conversation piece at your next event! It is perfect for any party or gathering! I especially like to use it to add to my football party decorations for a fun, at home football party.

Materials Used to Make the Brownie Burgers and the Faux Charcoal Grill
- Shoe Box and Lid
- Paper Towel Rolls
- Jar Lids
- Black Spray Paint
- White Spray Paint
- Silver Paint
- Paper Towels
- Red and Orange Tissue Paper
- Red Lights
- Metal Grill
- Craft Glue
- Hot Glue Gun
- Brownies
- Round Cookie Cutter
- Chocolate
- Frosting Decorator Bag with tip
How to Make the Brownie Burgers and the Faux Charcoal Grill
Attach the lid to the bottom part of the shoebox with a hot glue gun and paint black.
Paint the paper towel rolls and the jar lids silver and glue to the inside edges of the shoebox lid.
To make the charcoal, fold a piece of paper towel as shown above.
Roll it into a square and secure the edges with craft glue.
Seal the edges together with craft glue and crimp together so it looks like a charcoal briquette.
Spray paint the briquettes with black paint.
Lightly spray the briquette with white paint to simulate the coals ashing over.
Tear pieces of red and orange tissue paper and place them onto the grill. Arrange charcoal on the tissue and add red lights.
Use a round cookie cutter or glass to cut out brownies in a round burger shape. Melt chocolate, place in a plastic bag fitted with a decorator tip and draw lines on top of the brownies to make the griddle marks to complete your fun brownie burger on a faux charcoal grill.
