Ravens Playoffs Party
I love the playoff games especially when the home team is playing. I created some fun and easy decorations for throwing a Ravens football party. Most of the items I used you may already have around your house. Go Ravens!!
I like to use food as decorations so I turned my fresh baked brownies into footballs. I didn’t feel like hunting down a football shaped cookie cutter so I decided to make my own out of a can. Cut open both sides of the can or it will be really difficult to get the brownie out. I used soup sized cans for these brownies but I think a tomato paste can would probably be a better size for a two or three bite brownie.
Once you wash the can and take remove both ends, just squish it with your hands to create the football shape. It is super easy and makes the perfect brownie cutter.
Here is Ravens helmet again made from a milk jug. I also like to make themed food trays out of shoebox lids. Here I created uprights from paper towel tubes and a yard marker from cardstock and colored paper.
I turned white candy/popcorn boxes into these fun referee boxes. I glued black paper strips to each side of the boxes. They are really easy to make and will look great at your football party. I then wanted to add a twist because of the controversy over the refs at the beginning of the season, so I made chocolate covered bacon. It will definitely spark a reaction in your guests. Some people love it and others…well not so much but everyone will want a taste.
I used a wooden crate to make this drink cooler. I used a plastic liner from my lettuce so you can add ice to the cooler. A clementine orange crate would also work well for this purpose. Attach team logos and player numbers on your plastic cups so everyone will know which drink belongs to them. I will be grabbing #27 – Ray Rice.
I used football scrapbooking paper to create this vase. I wrapped it around a large 28oz can from my crushed tomatoes and filled with Ravens colored flowers. I added some feathers to go along with the whole Raven black bird theme.
I just love this tray and had so much fun making it. If you notice, I added a yellow line for the first down marker.
